An exciting opportunity exists for a Field Sales Manager – JHB. This position plays a vital role within our company, overseeing and managing sales activities within a specific geographic area. This position is integral to driving sales, achieving targets, and ensuring consistent revenue generation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-oriented individual to make a significant impact within our sales channel.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Targets and Reporting:
- Achieve monthly sell-through targets, resulting in replenishment and stock turn. Develop monthly route lists to visit all stores within the assigned territory, utilizing the Skynamo app for all visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, regional managers, stores, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Log all returns/RTVs via Skynamo with valid reasons, ensuring timely processing within given cycle
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports regularly via the Skynamo app.
Route Planning and Execution:
- Develop monthly route lists to visit all stores within the assigned territory, utilizing the Skynamo app for all visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, regional managers, stores, and internal/external stakeholders
Return and Stock Management:
- Log all returns/RTVs via Skynamo with valid reasons, ensuring timely processing within given cycle dates.
- Responsible for proper packing and logging of stock returns, adhering to the Returns process.
- Ensure adherence to merchandising and shelf health standards in all outlets serviced, including managing sell-by dates, damages/returns, and shelf flows/planograms
Point of Sale and Sampling Management:
- Accountable for Point of Sale booked out for the territory, addressing any issues at store level promptly.
- Manage sampling sachets and testers, ensuring regular replenishment and correct distribution.
In-store Activations and Events:
- Plan and execute in-store activations and events to drive market penetration, particularly in clean beauty.
- Manage promotional items/material/stock
- Track and report on sales achieved
Customer Service and Training:
- Utilize excellent people skills to drive customer service ethos with customers and retailers.
- Conduct training and workshops to transfer product knowledge effectively, including refresher training as needed
Competitive Analysis and Complaint Resolution:
- Monitor competition and gather marketplace information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly, investigating problems and developing solutions.
Expense Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all company expenses, logging monthly expense sheets in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in field sales management, preferably within the beauty or consumer goods industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, go getter with a drive to achieve sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using sales management tools and applications, such as Skynamo.
- Flexibility to travel and work weekends as required
