About the Role
We are looking for a client-focused, analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic consulting team. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients across industries to understand their strategic goals, gather business requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, data-driven outcomes that create tangible value.
As part of a fast-paced consultancy, you’ll be exposed to a variety of projects, industries, and business challenges – ideal for someone who thrives on complexity, change, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Run discovery: stakeholder interviews, pain point analysis, and definition of success metrics.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and UAT plans.
- Map processes (AS IS/TO BE), identify automation/reporting opportunities, and prioritise with Product Owner.
- Assist with Power BI: Build Dashboards and reports, Power Query clean ups, simple star schema, and a core set of DAX measures (guided by BI Lead).
- Build Power Automate flows for notifications, file moves, and list updates, document error handling.
- Prepare data in SharePoint lists/Excel; help standardise metadata and naming.
- Publish & permission artifacts (Power BI Service, SharePoint pages) and support RLS implementation (with BI Lead).
- Create concise one pagers, release notes, and onboarding guides.
Must Have Skills & Knowledge
- Business analysis fundamentals
- Process modelling
- Data literacy: comfortable with tables, joins/merges, basic KPIs; strong Excel.
- Power Platform learning mindset: ready to ramp on Power BI (Power Query + basic DAX) and Power Automate.
- Collaboration & comms: facilitation, structured notes, and succinct updates to non technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Power BI: relationships, measure table, simple DAX (CALCULATE, FILTER), and publishing to Service.
- Power Automate / Power Apps (Canvas): simple flows and data capture apps.
- Boards/trackers: experience with any work tracking tool (e.g., Planner/Jira/Trello).
- Deneb/Vega Lite in Power BI; JSON literacy.
- Domain: construction/scheduling analytics (milestones, baseline vs forecast vs actual) or Primavera P6 exposure.
- SQL/Python basics.
Qualifications & Experience
- 0 – 2 years in a BA/ops/data role .
- Relevant diploma/degree (Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics) or strong portfolio.
- Helpful: ECBA (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis), Scrum fundamentals, PL 900 (Power Platform Fundamentals). PL 300 a plus, not required at entry.
