Purpose of position:
•To assist in creating and matching new flavours while gaining hands-on experience in assigned development projects.
• To assist in the expansion and enhancement of Sensory FXs’ current range of flavours.
• To ensure product and sample quality aligns with company strategy and client expectations.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Take ownership of assigned flavour development projects from brief to completion, ensuring quality, client requirements and turnaround time targets are met.
• Assist with sourcing new raw materials and gather required technical information for development and training.
• Coordinate project briefs and cross-team communication to ensure transparency, timely updates and efficient flavour development.
• Accurately record formulations and ensure all samples and documentation are organized and accessible for reference and quality control.
• Support Lab Technicians with lab operations by compounding samples, managing materials and ensuring QC product samples are available for review.

Requirements & Skills:
• BSc degree or Diploma in Science or Chemistry.
• Analytical skills.
• Lab skills, compounding, calculations including dilutions etc.
• Able to work independently to show own innovation during projects.
• Olfactive skills and ability.
• Time management skills.
• Communication skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• At least 3 years’ experience in flavour creation / development.
• Experience / understanding of the African market and related categories.
• Experience in manufacturing industry.
