Role purpose

We are looking for a proactive Omnichannel Communications & Audience Engagement Coordinator to build relationships, increase relevant professional visibility and keep communication flowing across our specialist technical brands.

This is not a graphic-design or video-production role. It is a communication, audience-development and lead-nurturing position. You will use approved content to engage the right people across LinkedIn, email, newsletters, blogs, website channels and relevant industry communities.

The role supports specialist pipeline, water infrastructure, leak detection, inspection and trenchless-technology brands. You must be confident communicating with engineers, municipalities, utilities, consultants, contractors, distributors, property and facilities professionals, and other technical B2B audiences.

Key responsibilities
Omnichannel communication

  • Build and maintain a practical communications calendar across LinkedIn, email, newsletters, blogs, website updates and relevant business channels.
  • Turn approved projects, technical content, case studies, product information and campaign assets into channel-appropriate communications.
  • Draft and coordinate regular newsletters for customers, prospects, partners and industry contacts.
  • Write and edit blogs, thought-leadership articles, case-study summaries, event communications and customer updates.
  • Adapt one core story into suitable formats for email, LinkedIn, website articles and audience-specific follow-up communications.
  • Ensure all copy is accurate, professional, on-brand and appropriate for each technical audience.
  • Coordinate technical review and approval where content includes product claims, engineering details or customer project information.

LinkedIn and professional engagement

  • Proactively identify, follow and engage with relevant companies, professionals, trade associations, industry publications and prospective partners.
  • Comment thoughtfully on relevant industry posts to build visibility and credibility without using generic or automated engagement.
  • Support connection activity with suitable decision-makers and industry contacts, using approved messaging and defined targeting criteria.
  • Monitor relevant discussions, tenders, project announcements, industry news and content opportunities.
  • Help position the brands as knowledgeable, useful and credible contributors to technical conversations.
  • Maintain an organised approach to contacts, connections, engagement activity and follow-up.

Email and lead nurturing

  • Help build and maintain segmented contact lists, subject to approved data-protection and consent processes.
  • Draft email campaigns for newsletter updates, case studies, technical education, events, product demonstrations and relevant announcements.
  • Support nurture journeys for contacts who download content, attend events, enquire through digital channels or engage with campaigns.
  • Monitor opens, clicks, replies and engagement trends, where systems allow.
  • Coordinate with sales and technical teams to ensure genuine enquiries are allocated and followed up promptly.
  • Keep accurate records of communication activity, prospect interest and lead sources in the CRM or lead register.

Content coordination

  • Work with technical colleagues to obtain accurate facts, photographs, footage, customer permissions and approved project details.
  • Brief the content-production colleague on communication requirements, campaign objectives, target audiences and calls to action.
  • Repurpose approved social content, videos and campaign material into emails, blogs, website updates and sales-support communications.
  • Maintain a library of approved content, case studies, copy and reusable campaign materials.

Reporting

  • Produce monthly reporting on newsletter activity, engagement quality, audience growth, website/content performance, enquiries and lead sources.
  • Focus on commercially relevant results: meaningful connections, replies, meetings, enquiries, partner engagement and qualified leads.
  • Recommend practical improvements to messaging, segmentation, communication frequency and channel mix.

Candidate requirements

  • Approximately two to four years’ experience in B2B communications, digital marketing, email marketing, customer engagement, content marketing or a related role.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with excellent proofreading and copywriting ability.
  • Experience writing newsletters, emails, articles, blogs, LinkedIn posts or customer communications.
  • Confidence engaging professionally with senior and technical audiences online.
  • Good judgement about when content needs technical, commercial or customer approval.
  • Experience using spreadsheets, CRM systems, email-marketing platforms or lead registers.
  • Highly organised, proactive and persistent with internal follow-up.
  • Comfortable learning unfamiliar technical subjects and translating them into clear, credible language.
  • Experience in engineering, utilities, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, property services or another technical B2B environment would be advantageous.

To apply

Please submit a CV and a portfolio that clearly identifies what you personally created, wrote, managed or delivered — for example newsletters, blogs, email campaigns and LinkedIn engagement strategy.
