Richfield is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead our B2C sales operations at our Johannesburg campus. This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on education while driving revenue growth across both contact and distance learning platforms throughout Johannesburg’s key educational catchment areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Management

  • Build, lead and manage a motivated sales team including team leaders, schools marketers, and student advisors
  • Set clear targets, manage performance, and monitor activities to ensure revenue objectives are consistently met
  • Execute effective sales strategies aligned with Richfield’s growth objectives
  • Maintain a talent pipeline by collaborating with HR on recruitment and writing vacancy advertisements
  • Organize staffing schedules and shift patterns to optimize team coverage and meet customer demand

Performance Management

  • Monitor, analyze, and plan improvements to team performance
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to sales team members
  • Implement both informal and formal performance management processes as required
  • Assess team leaders and agent performance against KPIs
  • Conduct random monitoring of customer engagements to improve quality and track performance

Sales Operations

  • Produce daily reporting dashboards on productivity and sales pipeline
  • Forecast and analyze data against budget figures weekly/monthly
  • Generate comprehensive reports on sales performance and operational costs
  • Ensure inbound leads are actioned within prescribed timelines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and market trends

Marketing & Outreach

  • Collaborate with marketing department to support lead generation campaigns
  • Develop and manage direct marketing activities
  • Coordinate school outreach initiatives to strengthen Richfield’s presence in education markets

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure high standards of service delivery to customers
  • Handle complex customer complaints effectively and efficiently
  • Equip sales team with knowledge and skills to address customer inquiries and escalate issues appropriately

Training & Development

  • Oversee onboarding of new agents including product knowledge and systems training
  • Develop existing agents and supervisors with clear development plans
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained on current promotions and offerings
  • Drive continuous improvement and professional development across the team

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of B2C sales management experience
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and growing sales
  • Strong team leadership skills with experience developing and motivating sales staff
  • Analytical ability to track performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Experience in the education sector is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
