Senior Account Manager – Private Sector – Gauteng

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grow revenue and gross profit through new business development and strategic account expansion.
- Build and manage strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Understand each customer’s business environment, industry pressures, and technology requirements to shape the right solution.
- Work closely with pre-sales, product, services, and support teams to craft tailored offerings that solve real business problems.
- Act as the main customer lead across the full solution and service delivery journey.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects, progressing opportunities from first conversation to purchase order.
- Identify where solutions can be mapped to customer needs and position them in a way that makes commercial sense.
- Deliver excellent customer experiences through clear communication, strong follow-through, and professional engagement.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date with daily activity, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Manage multiple accounts and priorities while staying focused on targets, timelines, and outcome
WHAT YOU BRING
- Matric is essential.
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
- Proven experience in sales account management, ideally within enterprise or industry-specific environments.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, pipeline management, and commercial forecasting.
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and presenting solutions at executive level.
- Solid negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical thinking to assess market conditions, competition, and pricing opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems and MS Office.
- The ability to stay composed, productive, and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
