Job Details

Scope of Work
The Sherq administrator will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards and ensures effective document control, internal auditing, compliance monitoring, and support of SHERQ initiatives across projects and operational sites.

Integrated Management System (IMS)

  • Maintain and support the implementation of the Integrated Management System
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Coordinate internal audits and assist with external certification audits.
  • Monitor corrective actions registers arising from audit findings.
  • Promote continual improvement through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
  • Assist in the development, review, and updating of Safety procedures and documentation
  • Monitor Action register by entity for VFLs, Audit findings, NCRs, and SIRs.

Data and reporting

  • Maintain document management systems in accordance to the latest updated legal register.
  • Ensure document accuracy, version control, and secure storage.
  • Manage requests for documentation from subsidiaries and stakeholders.
  • Distribute project-related information and controlled documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and project information
  • Assist with new digitization of SHERQ system and online document uploads
  • Prepare project and compliance reports as required.
  • Assist with SHERQ Returnable for Tenders and compile safety files

Audit and Compliance

  • Plan, conduct, and report on internal IMS audits across all regions
  • Develop audit schedules, plans, and checklists.
  • Follow up on audit findings and verify closure of corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, client, and company requirements.
  • Support incident investigations and developing risk assessments

Customer service

  • Respond to documentation requests.
  • Support project teams with compliance documentation.
  • Distribute Group SHERQ related information.
  • Assist Safety Managers and Safety Officers.
  • Support client and auditor information requests.
  • Maintain professional communication with stakeholders

Knowledge

  • Understanding of construction documentation and site safety files
  • Understands SHERQ requirements of Mining/Petrochemical/Construction/Mechanical Sites

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in document management software and web-based systems.
  • Internal auditing techniques and reporting.
  • Competency in Risk assessment
  • Incident investigation and RCA courses.
  • Records and information management.
  • Report writing and data analysis.
  • Interpersonal and Communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with regular travel

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • SAMTRAC or NEBOSH Certificate.
  • ISO Integrated Management System Auditor qualification.
  • HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) training.
  • RCAT & Incident Investigation training.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a SHERQ-related role
  • Proven sales track record
