Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will be experienced and highly organized in Operations and Warehouse Management to oversee our daily operations and warehouse functions in our small e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, logistics, and warehouse operations. The Operations and Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and smooth operations to meet customer demands and maximize profitability.

In addition, their expertise will play a critical role in optimizing our procurement procedures and contributing to the company’s overall success. They are hardworking, passionate, and striving for growth within themselves as well as within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in the warehouse.
• Manage all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, storage, tracking, and replenishment.
• Oversee order fulfilment processes, ensuring accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
• Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse layout, organization, and workflow to maximize space utilization and minimize errors.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize logistics and transportation processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers.
• Manage and develop a team of warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and coaching.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and present regular reports on operations metrics, cost savings, and supply chain performance to management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven work experience in operations management, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and order fulfilment processes.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in using technology and software applications (ERP) related to operations and logistics.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements that would be valued.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and in particular Odoo
• Knowledge of computer network systems, printers and barcode printers.
