Project Management

• Oversee coatings and surface preparation projects, including planning, organizing, and scheduling tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Understanding of Paint Application

 

Quality Control

• Ensure that all paint and surface preparation work meets industry standards and client expectations in terms of craftsmanship, finish, and overall quality.
• Understand scope of contract and client work management
• Confirm scope of work and manage projects in a timely manner
• Implement Quality Control / Inspection System

 

Inspection and Maintenance

• Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or maintenance requirements.
• Take appropriate actions to address them promptly.

 

Follow safety procedures when working at heights

• Take necessary precautions and follow a set of measures that assess, prevent and tackle risks when working at a high distance from the ground.
• Prevent endangering people working under these structures and avoid falls from ladders, mobile scaffolding, fixed working bridges, single person lifts etc. since they may cause fatalities or major injuries.

Minimum Qualifications required

• Matric (grade 12)
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Trade certificate
• Depending on the specific discipline, be trained, and certified by a reputable training institution.
• Painting and or surface preparation certification
• Working at height
• Confined space training

 

Experience

• Minimum of 20 years’ experience in Industrial Coatings and Surface Preparation in Petrochemical Plants or similar
