CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and direct multiple operational business units within mining, logistics, transport, and bulk commodity environments

Oversee senior operational leadership teams and ensure alignment with group strategy and performance targets

Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability through structured improvement initiatives

Own operational reporting frameworks, KPIs, and performance dashboards across sites

Implement and maintain robust operational controls, risk management and compliance processes

Guide financial management for operations, including budgets, cost control and margin optimisation

Champion continuous improvement, operational optimisation and transformation projects

Engage credibly with operational and technical teams on the ground, building trust and accountability

Ensure safe, reliable and compliant bulk commodity movement and mining logistics operations

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related

Project Management qualification an advantage

6-8 years senior operational leadership experience within Mining, Logistics, Transport, Bulk Commodity Handling, Supply Chain or similar heavy operational environments

At least 5 years Executive or Multi-Site Management experience

Proven experience leading multiple business units and senior operations leadership teams

Strong exposure to mining logistics, bulk commodity transport and mining support services

Demonstrated track record improving operational efficiency, profitability and overall operational performance

Deep understanding of operational reporting, KPI management, operational controls and financial management

Ability to engage operational teams from a position of solid technical and operational credibility

Experience driving optimisation, continuous improvement and large-scale operational transformation
