Job Description
Take full strategic and operational ownership of GWK’s grain trading operations. From building client relationships to navigating SAFEX and market volatility, you’ll be driving decisions that deliver real results for our shareholders and partners.
Requirements
- B Com or equivalent qualification
- APD Market Dealers Examination (SAFEX)
- 6+ years in the agricultural industry, with grain marketing experience
- Deep understanding of SAFEX operations, grain supply chains & risk
- Leadership that aligns with GWK’s values
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Good working knowledge of contracts and related legal terms
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, coordinate, and manage the overall Grain Marketing Strategy in alignment with sales and procurement budgets and targets, ensuring business growth and expansion.
- Manage the Business unit/division budget.
- Ensure the retention and expansion of market share.
- Ensure excellent service delivery.
- Manage and grow internal and external grain trading networks
- Ensure accurate pricing, contract management, and risk mitigation
- Lead and inspire the grain trading team
- Collaborate with logistics to ensure seamless delivery
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities
- Align all trading operations with legal compliance and company values
