We are a recognised thought leader serving the UK’s £50 billion a year independent health and social care sector with market intelligence products. Working as an Analyst at our company will offer you the opportunity to become a sector expert , supporting our clients and the wider industry to understand real-life business problems through a deep understanding of the available data. While knowledge of the UK’s health and social care ecosystem is not essential, we are looking for someone with an enquiring mind who is willing to learn.
You will be an integral part of our research team, supporting the delivery of our industry-leading market intelligence. This opportunity would suit a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for the use of data to improve understanding in these sectors. You will be comfortable managing your own workload and in engaging with colleagues across the organisation to support the delivery of wider business objectives,
We are specifically looking for someone with experience working in data analytics and/or research.
Key responsibilities include:
- To analyse and integrate a mixture of proprietary in-house data, publicly available datasets, and internally developed estimates to produce robust analysis of market size, structure, demand and supply dynamics, and the performance of major providers.
- To assist with the ongoing digitalisation of our products and services by helping translate datasets and analytical outputs into formats suitable for digital platforms and data-driven products.
- To support responses to client and media enquiries by providing relevant data, analysis, and insights on health and social care markets.
- To work flexibly across the organisation to support the delivery of our business objectives, particularly as they relate to the healthcare sector
- To undertake other duties as necessary commensurate to a role of this level and nature.
Key skills:
- Subject Matter Expertise – you will have experience analysing quantitative data, ideally within the health and/or social care sector or a related market intelligence, consulting, or policy environment.
- Quantitative skills – you will be highly confident working with numerical and statistical data. You will have advanced knowledge of Excel (used daily) and be able to develop spreadsheet models to support market sizing and analysis of market structure. You will be comfortable performing core analytical tasks such as calculating growth rates, percentage changes, market shares, and interpreting financial and economic data (such as nominal vs real values, inflation adjustments).
- Knowledge –Ideally (but not essential) you will be familiar with the UK health and social care systems, relevant data sources and how they can be used to support market analysis
- Communication – you will have an excellent standard of written and spoken English
