Draughtsman

A property investment company is looking for a qualified Draughtsman for their office in Cape Town. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO: 

• Assist senior draughtsmen in preparing technical drawings and plans for fabrication projects 
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs  
• Utilize drafting software and tools to create detailed drawings according to project 
  specifications  
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the draughting department 
• Maintain organized records and documentation related to draughting projects  

REQUIREMENTS  

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role  
• Proficiency on SignmaNEST (CAD/CAM) (Nesting programme) 
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, especially fabrication drawings 
• Knowledge of materials used in the fabrication industry and understanding of machine 
  capabilities 
• Ability to produce accurate quotes based on fabrication drawings 
• Reliable and punctual, with a record of stable work history and contactable references 
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines 
• Own transportation is advantageous
