If you have a BEng / BSc Degree in Industrial Engineering, 3–5 years’ experience in physical asset management, and exposure to mining, process or manufacturing environments, and want to work for a global company making a real impact, this role is for you.​

Experience and education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.​

3–5 years’ relevant experience in physical asset management, including maintenance management, operations design or inventory planning.​

Practical experience within mining, process industries or manufacturing environments.​

Technical Mastery & Data Science experience, PowerBI, Advanced Excel, data design, mining and analysis, SQL, Python or R, ETL tools

Role overview
This is a full-time consulting role for a mid-level Industrial Engineer who will design and deploy data-driven digital asset management solutions across mining, manufacturing and other asset-intensive industries. The position is based in Pretoria with travel to client sites.​

Main responsibilities

Project & Commercial Management

Key responsibilities
Analyse and optimise client business processes and operational data for system implementation and BI reporting.​

Design and deploy IIoT, ML and AI-based decision support, predictive and optimisation models, and integrated BI dashboards.​

Implement SaaS-based EAM/CMMS solutions and ERP integrations across the full project lifecycle, from requirements and design through configuration, deployment and handover.​

Support ISO 55000 asset management framework implementation and integration with quality, risk and safety systems.​

Lead change management through coaching, training and constructively challenging client teams to embed new ways of working.​

Manage advisory and implementation projects, develop project charters and execution plans, and contribute to commercial proposals and business cases.​

Skills and technical profile
Strong proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel, with proven experience in data design, mining, analysis and transforming operational data for BI visualisation.​

Desirable working knowledge of SQL, Python or R and ETL tools, with experience in developing near real-time, algorithm-based predictive and optimisation models.​

Advantageous exposure to techno-economic modelling and simulation tools such as Simio.​

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with high emotional intelligence and strong logical problem-solving ability.​
