International Meat Trader

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Meat Trader to manage the end-to-end procurement, trading, and distribution of meat products across global markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international trade regulations, market trends, and logistics, and will play a critical role in expanding and maintaining our global supply chain and customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of international clients and suppliers in the meat industry.

•  Source meat products (beef, lamb, poultry including Turkey etc.) from global markets in line with demand and quality standards.

• Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and contracts with both suppliers and buyers.

• Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to make data-driven trading decisions.

• Ensure compliance with international import/export regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) standards, and food safety requirements.

• Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of traded products.

• Maintain accurate documentation and manage the full trade lifecycle including invoicing, shipping, and customs.

• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to enter and grow in new territories.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in international meat trading or protein commodity markets.

• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

• Sound knowledge of international logistics, incoterms, and trade compliance.

• Familiarity with food safety standards, meat grading, and certifications (e.g., Halal, USDA, HACCP).

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/trade platforms.

• Ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Existing network of meat suppliers and buyers across regions (Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, etc.).
