Production Co-ordinator

Step into the engine room of a busy apparel production operation, where brands, fabrics, trims, and timelines all come together – and you’re the one keeping everything moving like clockwork. This Production Co-ordinator role sits right at the heart of the clothing manufacturing process, making sure factories have what they need, orders stay on track, and garments are ready to hit the rails without a hitch.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep production flowing smoothly across your allocated brands.
  • Load production orders on the system in line with instructions from the Production Manager
  • Request markers, follow up proactively, and ensure all cutting information is ready on time
  • Purchase raw materials – fabrics and trims – according to approvals and brand requirements
  • Track all purchase orders, liaising with suppliers on lead times and deliveries to avoid bottlenecks
  • Receive raw materials into the system accurately and timeously
  • Pick trims and fabrics for CMT partners, ensuring correct quantities and versions are issued
  • Prepare complete despatch packages for CMT – including all documentation and the “blue folder”
  • Follow up on cut figures from CMT, capture them in the system, and keep production data up to date
  • Raise outwork purchase orders and issue to relevant suppliers for specialised processes
  • Liaise with factories on production problems, quality issues, and practical solutions
  • Arrange drop-off and collection of goods with outwork suppliers when necessary
  • Receive finished garments into the system and transfer finished stock to stock jobs
  • Maintain top-up stock levels based on SOH reports so core styles are never caught short
  • Monitor fabric holding and trim stock for each brand and flag any risks early
  • Maintain and deepen your understanding of the brands allocated to you – their styles, cycles, and quirks
  • Report and communicate potential production delays to Production and Sales Managers promptly
  • Maintain step processes on the system and keep jobs and statuses updated in real time
  • Arrange wash tests and garment tests on problem items, tracking outcomes and next steps
  • Handle any other related tasks needed to keep your brands running smoothly through production

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bring sharp organisation skills and a love of detail into a fast-paced apparel environment.
  • Experience in clothing manufacturing, CMT, or apparel production co-ordination
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction basics
  • Confident working with production and inventory systems and updating data accurately
  • Excellent follow-up skills with suppliers, factories, and internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable juggling multiple brands, orders, and timelines at once
  • Clear communicator who can flag problems early and suggest practical solutions
  • Reliable, hands-on approach with a focus on accuracy and on-time delivery
