Accountant / Business Development

SPECIFICATION

We are a growing accounting firm seeking a versatile professional who is adept at managing both our accounting needs and helping expand our client base in Cape Town. This is a remote position, requiring the candidate to work from home with occasional local travel for networking and client meetings.

We are looking for a stable accounting professional – with 3-5 years working experience to join our company. 

You will be responsible for:

• Liaising with clients re their business and assist them in making financial decisions
• Assisting clients in managing their businesses through managing the figures
• Assist in growing the business in terms of looking for opportunities
• Keeping accurate records
• Deliver comprehensive accounting services including bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial reporting, using Xero and Draftworx 
• Develop new business, maintaining high quality client relationships and identifying fresh opportunities.
• Represent the firm at local networking events and professional gatherings to promote our services.
• Ensure consistent internet connectivity to maintain productivity and effective communication with clients and the team.

 What does it take to successfully undertake this role?

• A completed B.Com (Accounting)
• 3-5 years working experience with business development experience is a plus
• Good team player
