This Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor role sits at the heart of a busy cosmetics production environment, making sure buildings, machinery and equipment are well maintained, safe and ready to support smooth daily operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• You’ll take ownership of general building maintenance and repairs across the site, as well as the upkeep of production machinery and equipment. A key part of the role is managing and executing the planned maintenance schedule so that downtime is minimised and production can run reliably.
• Day to day, you’ll:
• Oversee building, facilities and machine maintenance and repairs
• Run the planned maintenance schedule and ensure all tasks are completed on time
• Take a hands-on approach to maintenance across facilities and production equipment
• Manage and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers and service providers
• Support a safe, healthy and values-driven working environment for the team
• Stand in for the manager when required and keep things running smoothly

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; other South African languages are an advantage
• Commitment and flexibility, including after-hours availability when required
• Confidence working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Solid computer literacy, with strong Microsoft Office skills and willingness to learn in-house web-based systems

WHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE US SMILE

These qualifications and experiences will help you stand out

• Matric; relevant courses/qualification over 5 years is advantageous
• Pneumatic experience is advantageous
• 2–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role, leading multidisciplined teams
• Experience in a warehouse or production environment; exposure to cosmetic machinery is a plus
• Strong leadership and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
• Confidence handling multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work on in-house automation machinery, such as bottle filling machines
