Job Details

An online payments platform is looking for a Financial Manager in Cape Town. The purpose of the role is to review the Management Accounts and interpret reports.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Review of Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Review of Monthly General Ledger Reconciliations.
  • Responsible for Treasury and Cashflow.
  • Responsible for the Annual Financial Statements.
  • Assistance with Budget and forecasts.
  • Assistance with streamlining financial Operations processes and reconciliations, which includes working with the software team to develop these systems.
  • Commercial review of projects initiated by our Business Development Team.
  • Responsible for all tax matters (Including Income Tax, VAT and EMP201 submissions).
  • Responsible for internal and external audits including Sarbanes Oxley compliance (requirement for listing on the US Nasdaq), as well as liaising with the auditors on year-end and quarterly audit matters.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department to ensure all necessary agreements are in place and up to date.
  • Take on Public Officer duties.

REQUIREMENTS              

  • CA with 5-6 years of experience as a Financial Manager.
  • Experience in companies that generate massive amounts of financial data e.g., FMCG industry would also be advantageous.
  • Must have Audit articles experience with a reputable accounting firm.
  • Experience managing a finance team.
  • Reports to CFO for VAS and Card Division.
  • Financial Operations and Financial Accountant report into this position.
  • Valid driver’s license/own transport.

Technical Competencies:

  • Experience using Excel (advanced e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables, graphs).
  • Experience in Acc Pac/Sage 300/Pastel would be useful.
