SPECIFICATION
The main purpose of this role is to communicate with guests to resolve any maintenance issues, whilstperforming preventative maintenance on tools & equipment, as per the Company’s safety policies and protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the basic upkeep of all rooms and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators etc. are in good condition
- Refurbish furniture and equipment within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors windows etc.
- Paint and finish furniture and as required
- Ensure all paint and flooring are up to standard
- Repair or replace any HVAC systems, as instructed
- Assist with preventative maintenance and complete reports at regular intervals to ensure all equipment and machinery operate effectively according to company standards
- Ensure the properties’ interior and exterior areas are well maintained
- Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures, and other items, as required
- Report major repair needs to the Maintenance Manager
- Maintain a safe environment and practice safety measures to prevent accidents
- Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, as needed.
- Monitor fire alarms, as required, be fully informed of the system operation and handle emergencies involving the systems
- Ad Hoc duties as assigned by your Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Qualifications are advantageous
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic
