Job Purpose:

Ensuring smooth, efficient, and balanced production operations by interpreting complex system data, predicting downstream impacts, and proactively adjusting plans as conditions change.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to production teams by scheduling tasks and ensuring they have the necessary resources and information.
  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between production, procurement, inventory, testing and sales teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production schedules.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in production
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of production jobs, ensuring they are closed off in due time.
  • Manage and maintain the ERP system for accurate tracking and reporting of production activities
  • Collaborate with the Production team to implement process enhancements and increase efficiency

 Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Certificate & Diploma in Advanced Certificate & Diploma

Required Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in creating and managing production schedules, ensuring the timely completion of projects in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Working with advanced manufacturing technologies and systems
  • Managing projects and ensuring alignment across various teams
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production schedules
  • Developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in production
  • Managing and maintaining ERP systems (e.g., SYSPRO) for accurate tracking and reporting of production activities

Recommendations:

  • Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, such as SYSPRO
  • Familiarity with advanced scheduling tools and software to optimise production processes
