Looking for your next role? Join Fraxion, a high-growth SaaS company with a dynamic, collaborative culture and global reach, with offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and the USA.
Fraxion is a leading provider of cloud-based procure-to-pay and accounts payable automation software, helping mid-sized organizations take control of business spend through intelligent, easy-to-use solutions. For over 20 years, we’ve empowered finance teams worldwide to improve visibility, streamline processes, and drive smarter spending with innovative technology. Join a collaborative, forward-thinking team that’s passionate about delivering exceptional software and customer experiences.
The QA Tester will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans, conducting software testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the required quality standards and user expectations.
This is a hybrid role based in Cape Town, requiring a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration as needed.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with development and business stakeholders to design comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Set-up and configure test environments, and manage test resources and data
- Conduct regression testing to catch the impact of code changes and address performance issues early
- Create and maintain test artifacts, and document test results and metrics
- Apply AI tools to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and documentation, and share effective approaches with the team
- Stay current on industry best practices and propose process improvements
- Champion a culture of quality across the organisation
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years’ proven experience as a QA Tester
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI tools to support QA work. For example generating and refining test cases and test data, analysing logs and defects, and accelerating test documentation with the judgement to review and validate AI-generated output rather than accept it uncritically
- A track record of adopting and experimenting with new AI-assisted testing tools as they emerge
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques; exposure to test automation (Selenium, Playwright, or API test automation) is advantageous
- Familiarity with task/bug tracking and test management tools such as Azure DevOps
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication
- A collaborative mindset and advanced MS Office/Excel skills
If you’re ready to help shape the quality of a product trusted by companies across industries worldwide, we’d love to hear from you.
