KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Service & Sales
  • Acknowledge and engage every customer quickly and confidently
  • Follow customer service procedures to deliver consistently excellent in-store experiences
  • Use strong product and technical knowledge to identify customer needs and recommend the right footwear, apparel, and accessories
  • Close sales effectively and drive add-on sales to lift basket size
  • Turn first-time visitors into repeat customers and brand advocates
  • Monitor personal and team sales against daily and individual budgets throughout the day
  • Support the Store Manager in driving conversion and achieving store targets
  • Inventory & Stock Control
  • Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom daily and ensure the floor is fully stocked before close
  • Reduce shrinkage through smart zoning, active customer engagement, and correct change room practices
  • Ensure accurate stock entries and transactions in the POS system
  • Process deliveries: verify quantities, tag, hang, price and capture in the POS
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock counts
  • Assist with processing customer orders efficiently and accurately

DAILY OPERATIONS

  • Follow the operational game plan and ensure store standards are consistently met
  • Maintain top-notch housekeeping: mirrors, floors, bins, counters, and change rooms always on point
  • Assist the Manager with opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with daily cash-up, banking, and month-end audits and paperwork

TRAINING & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Take ownership of personal training and product knowledge development
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions and actively work through learning materials
  • Meet regularly with the Store Manager to review progress and growth opportunities
  • Support the Manager in developing the team through ongoing product, customer service, sales, and loss prevention training

MERCHANDISING & BRAND STANDARDS

  • Maintain stock presentation in line with performance and lifestyle brand standards
  • Ensure sizes are replenished and apparel is neatly folded or hung
  • Assist with window and mannequin changes every two weeks
  • Store and care for POS materials to avoid damage

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES WHEN COVERING THE STORE MANAGER

  • Run daily team meetings, communicate sales targets, and track performance
  • Allocate daily tasks and ensure every team member delivers excellent customer service
  • Monitor individual sales versus budget and support team members to improve
  • Oversee replenishment, storeroom standards, and stock presentation
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drops and banking
  • Complete rosters, allocate tasks, coordinate breaks, and handle weekly timesheets where needed
  • Analyse daily sales reports and explain key variances

  • Experience driving and developing a sales team on the shop floor
