Senior HAUS Sales Consultant

CORE FOCUS

This role centres on owning the showroom floor and leading by example. Think top-tier customer experience, immaculate merchandising, and a motivated, engaged sales team. Every day brings a mix of design conversations, hands-on product work (including heavy rugs), and smart retail decision-making to hit – and exceed – sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote and sell luxury homeware and décor products, consistently reaching and exceeding sales budgets

Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, offering tailored advice and product recommendations

Maintain high showroom standards – from visual merchandising to cleanliness and overall presentation

Oversee daily showroom operations to ensure policies, procedures, and retail standards are consistently upheld

Manage and process customer orders accurately and efficiently

Take ownership of stock management, including receiving, organising, and monitoring stock levels

Conduct and manage regular stock takes, resolving variances proactively

Support external sales consultants with product information, stock availability, and order coordination

Assist with the payment process and point-of-sale transactions to ensure a smooth customer experience

Lead, guide, and energise the store team, helping to drive performance and a positive, professional atmosphere

Handle and move heavy rugs and other products safely as part of day-to-day showroom activity

REQUIREMENTS

National Senior Certificate

Minimum 3 years’ retail sales experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury or premium brand environment

Experience working on a point-of-sale system in a retail setting

Previous experience in a senior role coordinating or guiding a team is advantageous

Knowledge or genuine interest in homeware, décor, or interiors is a strong advantage

Proven experience in conducting and managing regular stock takes

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Strong customer service orientation with a confident, professional manner

Highly sales-driven, target-focused, and comfortable working towards clear budgets

Well-presented, polished, and able to represent a premium brand image

Self-motivated with solid general business acumen

Physically able to handle and move heavy rugs and related showroom stock
