We are seeking a skilled Turner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision machining, turning, and manufacturing of hydraulic and metal components, ensuring that all work meets exact specifications and high-quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Manufacture of hydraulic components and general engineering work.
• Perform precision turning on lathes and able to operate milling machines.
• Manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinders and pumps, including custom designs from drawings or samples.
• Ensure compliance with quality and dimensional accuracy when components are tested.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and machines in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate effectively in the workshop environment.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

• Recognised red seal Trade Test qualification as a Turner.
• 4 – 5 years of proven experience in a machining/engineering environment.
• Experience working with hydraulic components is advantageous.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with precision machining and turning skills.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and procedures.
• Flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
• Have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
